Superintendent Larry A. Bellamy, I
Pastor Larry A. Bellamy is a native of Wilmington, North Carolina. Pastor Bellamy served in the United States Army for 30 years with distinction. He served as the 44th Signal Battalion Command Sergeant Major in the Republic of Germany, and XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg Equal Opportunity Sergeant Major.
Pastor Bellamy earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Maryland and Excelsior University and a Master’s Degree in Christian Ministry with and emphasis in Pastoral Care from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ.
In 1981, Pastor Bellamy became a licensed minister. In 1986, he was ordained as an Elder in the Church of God in Christ by the late Bishop L. B. Davenport. Pastor Bellamy’s pastorate includes Fort Amador COGIC, Republic of Panama, Munich COGIC and Free for All COGIC, Republic of Germany. Presently, Pastor Bellamy is the Pastor of Rhema Ministries COGIC and Pentecostal Temple COGIC, Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Pastor Bellamy is married to District Missionary Shiral L. Bellamy. They have two biological sons, Larry II and Bryon and a host of spiritual sons and daughters. He mentors young men, and seeks to encourage them to be strong in the Lord and love the Word of God. His favorite scripture is John 7:38; "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living waters."
